Transfer Of Two Telangana High Court Judges
Delhi/Hyderabad, Nov 14 (Maxim News): The central government has issued an order transferring Telangana High Court judges. Justice Chillakuru Somalath to Karnataka and Justice Mummineni Sudhir Kumar to Madras High Courts.
The Central government has taken this decision based on the recommendations made by the Supreme Court collegium on August 10. Union Law Minister Arjunram Meghwal disclosed this through social media ‘X’. He stated that President Draupadi Murmu transferred these judges in consultation with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court following the power provided by the Constitution.
The Central government has also issued orders transferring Allahabad High Court Judge Justice Vivek Kumar Singh to Madras, Calcutta High Court Judge Justice Shekhar B.Sharaf to Allahabad, and Justice Bibek Chaudhuri to Patna High Court
Justice Chillakuru Sumalatha was appointed as a judge of Telangana High Court on October 14, 2021. In 2007, she was first selected as a District Judge. Served as Principal District Judge in Kurnool and Guntur districts. Director of Hyderabad Judicial Academy and chief Judge of Hyderabad City Civil Court.
Justice Mummineni Sudhir Kumar took charge as a judge of the Telangana High Court on March 24, 2022. He started his career as a lawyer on December 21, 1994, and worked as a legal advisor to KL University, educational institutions run by Vignanjyoti Society, and several software companies. Advocated cases in High Court City Civil Courts, Hyderabad, Rangareddy District Courts, and Family Courts. Justice Sudhir Kumar’s hometown in Kothagudem. (Maxim News)
