TRS 16 MPs Will Get Support Of 150 MPs: KTR

Hyderabad, March 27 (Maxim News): TRS working president KT Rama Rao today started his campaigning for Lok Sabha polls at Mustabad in Karimnagar district with party candidate B Viond Kumar. He appealed to the electorate to vote for the TRS candidates in the LS polls and if Vinod was elected he would bring rail facility to Karimnagar in two years. Those who became Railway ministers got many rail projects to their own States and ignored others, he claimed.

KTR said voting for the TRS will benefit the entire Telangana State and voting for the Congress will benefit only Rahul Gandhi and voting for the BJP will benefit Prime Minister Narendra Modi. If Telangan wins 16 MP seats, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will get support of another 150 MPs after elections. By winning more seats, the State government can get more funds from the Centre by dictating terms, he said. It was not right to think that the election battle was between Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi, he said, adding that there are several other capable leaders, who can rule the country.

KTR accused the BJP and the Congress of failing to serve people and the nation was looking for an alternative government. KCR is to get the support of top leaders like Mamata Benerjee, Akhilesh Yadav, Mayavati, Navin Patnaik, Jaganmohan Reddy and others to form an alternative government, he said. KCR, who achieved Telangana with just two MPs will certainly play a key role at the Centre by winning 16 Lok Sabha seats, he said.

“We can get 90 per cent of funds from the Centre by having adequate number of MPs with us”, he said and charged that the BJP government had ignored Niti Ayog recommendation to give Rs 24,000 crore to Telangana State for its flagship programs. The Centre and other states are following our Rythu Bandhu, Bhima and welfare schemes, he added. KTR said people of Telangana gave their verdict in favour of TRS during the Assembly polls with about 75 per cent seats and 50 per cent votes. “Now is the time for people to choose the right leadership at the Centre and how they want the country to progress further,” he said. He also pointed out that notwithstanding repeated representations, the Modi government did not approve proposals to accord national project status to Kaleshwaram project. “If our proposals were approved, the Centre would have borne 90% cost of the Kaleshwaram project which enables the State government to complete it faster,” he said.
