TRS demands immediate rollback of Agnipath scheme

Hyderabad, June 17 (Maxim News): Amid massive violent agitation against the Agnipath scheme, the ruling TRS government demanded from the Centre to rollback its decision immediately.

Minister for Forest Indrakaran Reddy said that a sense of frustration, dissatisfaction and dark future due to the unemployment was reflected among the youth aspirants and termed the Centre’s decision to start Agnipath scheme as immeture and poorly planned.

Condemning the remarks of BJP State unit president Bandi Sanjay who alleged that the Telangana government was behind the violence at Secunderabad railway station, he said the TRS was never encouraged such kind of violence and their party was always stick to the principle of non-violence.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to fulfil the aspirations of the youth and has not taken up any job notification during the eight years. The Agnipath scheme is not a solution for fulfilling the dreams of youth and for resolving the unemployment in the country. The Centre should review on its proposal to start the Agnipath and rollback its decision immediately,” Indrakaran Reddy said.

Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao appealed to the youth to maintain restraint and continue their struggle in a peaceful manner.

Terming the Secunderabad railway station incident as an unfortunate, the Minister also expressed regret over the death of Rakesh, a resident of Dabirpet village in Khanapur mandal of Warangal district, who was shot dead by police during the protest, and demanded the Union government to announce an ex-gratia to the bereaved family members.

Meanwhile, Minister for Social Welfare Koppula Eshwar accused BJP State unit president Bandi Sanjay of passing blame on the State government and alleged that Sanjay was losing the mental balance while speaking.

” If the TRS was behind the Secunderabad railway station incident, why the violence is taking place in BJP ruling States and other parts of the country. Can he say the TRS is responsible for the violence in all over the country. Sanjay should stop speaking nonsense and ask his leader Narendra Modi to review the unwise decision of Agnipath,” Koppula Eshwar said. (Maxim News)
