TRS stages protest against hike in LPG price
Hyderabad, July 7 (Maxim News): The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Thursday organised protest programmes across the State in protest against the hike in LPG cylinder price.
Following the call given by TRS working president KT Rama Rao in protest against the hike in the prices of domestic gas cylinder, the party cadres have taken to the streets and staged different kinds of protests in Telangana.
The ruling party MLAs, MPs and other elected representatives staged protests in their respective areas, demanded the Centre to rollback the hike in LPG cylinders immediately.
The party activists burnt effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at various places and cooked meals with sticks by displaying the empty cylinders in protest against the hike in prices.
The TRS leaders alleged that the BJP government at the Centre was imposing financial burden on common people by increasing the prices of petroleum products and LPG ever since it came to power. (Maxim News)
