TRS might perform even better and receive higher vote share in the Parliament elections scheduled to be held within next a few months. TRS working president KT Rama Rao exuded confidence that people who did not vote for TRS in the Assembly elections, also will prefer to vote the ruling party during the Lok Sabha polls.
“We observed that at least two per cent votes went to the Truck symbol during the Assembly polls after voters got confused it with the Car symbol of TRS. Considering votes received for both the symbols, we have received over 50 per cent votes during the Assembly elections and I do not see any reason why they are not polled to TRS again during the Lok Sabha polls,” he added. He was confident that after looking at the governance of the TRS after the Assembly elections, more people will tend to vote in its favour during the Parliament elections.
