Hyderabad, Jan.31 (Maxim News): Former Animal Husbandry Minister and MLA T Srinivas Yadav today inaugurated Aqua Expo 2019 at Hitex here.
Speaking on the occasion, Talasani said the Telangana State was in forefront in the country in encouraging fishermen. The TRS government was providing free fish seed to the fishermen and also 75 per cent subsidy for vehicles to them. With the Fish scheme, the fishermen in the State are able to revive their economic conditions. The lakes and water bodies have been revived for encouraging fish production and also minor irrigation projects were going on in a big way and will be completed this year.
The farmers and fishermen will get abundant waters in the villages through lakes by completion of the projects, Srinivas said. As per directive of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, fisheries production was being supported at the villages with water resources. In addition to that the government was providing all help to the fishermen from the phase of fish seed supply to market the product, he added. (Maxim News)
