Two Arrested On Charge Of Cheating Public
Hyderabad, May 28 (Maxim News): On Monday, the CCS sleuths apprehended Santosh Alluri Varma and Sarika Shinde Aniruddha in connection with a cheating case.
On a complaint, a cheating case was registered against Messrs My Own Eco Energy Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai represented by Santosh Varma, Managing Director and others stating that they have collected Rs 1.4 crore from the public on pretext of providing dealerships for bio-diesel fuel stations across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Police said accused Santhosh Varma Alluri, MD Parag Kamath (V.P. Sales), Gunturi Srinivas (T.M.) and Sarika Shinde Aniruddha and others of My Eco Energy Pvt. Ltd. conspired to cheat the people under the guise of allotting dealerships to sell the Bio-diesel in T.S. and A.P. in response to news paper advertisement.
Police said in 2017, they established one branch office at Begumpet and on seeing it, many people applied for the dealership. The accused assured they will import crude diesel from Singapore and the same will be processed by blending at Gujarat (Pipav) and Kolhapur and to be supplied to the dealers. They collected Rs 9 to 15 lakh as deposit and taken Bank Guarantees for Rs 21 to 30 lakhs from the victims. Later, the company neither provided any dealership nor returned their amounts.
