Two held for theft of lorry load of Santoor soaps

Hyderabad, July 14 (Maxim News): Two interstate offenders were arrested for committing theft of Santoor soaps worth Rs 38.5 lakh along with lorry worth Rs 15 lakh from Maheshwaram and the lorry recovered.

According to Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS, on July 2, Mandeep Kumar, transport Manger of Super Safe Logistics, Andhrakesari Nagar Colony, Vanasthalipuram lodged a complaint at Maheshwaram police station stating that two persons Manoj Parmar and Manish Parmar brought a load of Santoor Soaps from Amalner, Maharashtra from Wipro company and unloaded at Wipro storage hub at Maheshwaram.

The complainant contacted both persons to transport Santoor soaps’ load of 1300 boxes from Maheshwaram to Thumkur, Karnataka. On June 27 evening, driver Abhijeet Mohith, Manoj and Manish Parmar got loaded Santoor soaps and left Wipro hub. Later he found the load did not reach Thumkur and when he tried to contact them over telephone, their phone were switched off and requested for necessary action.

The police registered a case Crime No 204 /2022 under Sections 407, 420 IPC of Maheshwaram PS of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.

The accused were identified as Rajesh Ved alias Manoj Parmar, residing near Usha Mullapudi hospital, Gajularamaram, Sushil Bera alias Abhijeet residing at Shanthi Nagar colony, Sangareddy, Venkat and Pareesh are absconding. The police seized 1112 boxes of Santoor soaps, lorry B.No MH19Z4299, one Honda Activa bike, net cash of Rs 1,55,000, four Smart Mobile Phones and three keypad Mobile phones.

Police said principal accused Rajesh Ved alias Manoj Parmar, natïve of West Bengal previously resided on the outskirts of Hyderabad came into contact with Sushil Behra alias Abhijeeth, also native of West Bengal and residing at Sangareddy. Rajesh Ved, who incurred loss decided to commit theft of goods by diverting loads/goods from transport company met and explained his plan to Sushil Behra, who agreed his proposal for making easy money. Accordingly, both searched and found Pareesh Parmer and Venkat to act as cook and driver. Later, all the four went to Dhule of Madhya Pradesh and established a transport office titled as Shree Sai Transport in April this year. They also took a lorry on lease from one Ruknuddin of Sendra at Rs 70,000 per month.

On June 27, they loaded Santoor soaps at Wipro hub at Maheshwram to unload the same at Thumkur in Karnataka State. On the way, they stopped the vehicle near Rudram village where Rajesh Ved and Sushil Behra unloaded the stocks in two shutter shop. Later, they came to Maccha Bollaram. However, they were arrested in the early hours of July 14 and the stolen lorry along with 1112 soap boxes, one Honda Active, cash of Rs 1,55,000 and so on were recovered from their procession.
