Two White Collar Offenders Absconding Since 29 Years Held

Two White Collar Offenders | Hyderabad, April 25 (Maxim News): Two white collar offenders absconding since 29 years arrested from Ernakulam in Kerala by CID Team in chatting case.

According to the Director General of Police (DGP) Anjani Kumar, the A-2 T.J. John of Kassikunnu House, Annaparru P.O. Trivandrum floated M/s Travancore Finance and Leasing Company at Hyderabad along with A-3 T.J. Mathew and A-4 M.M. Tommy. The firm was registered by the Registrar of Firms, A.P., Hyderabad under registration No. 6159, on September 1, 1986. In this firm there were 10 partners viz. 1) M.M. Tommy, 2) Sherley Tommy, 3) . Mary Mathew, 4) T.J. John, 5) Benney Pal, 6) G.V. Seleven, 7) C.J. Joseph, 8) K. Raman Pillay, 9) Joseph and 10) Rajan John.

The accused had given wide publicity in Newspapers, also published and distributed brochures inviting deposits from the public by promising lucrative and exorbitant rates of interest. They have collected deposits of Rs. 12,54,915.50 ps out of which Rs. 94,921.48 ps was refunded, leaving a balance Rs. 11,57,994.02 ps besides interest. The accused violated the rules and falsified the entries and siphoned out the amount and criminally misappropriated and did not pay the dues to the depositors and cheated them. A case in Cr.No.97/1987 U/s 406, 409, 419,120 (B) IPC of CCS PS, Hyderabad. City was investigated by the CID and a charge sheet filed in the Hon’ ble court. On January 29, 1994 accused 1) M.M. Tommy, 2) . Sherley Tommy, 3) C.I. Joseph was arrested and was sent to judicial custody. The Accused after obtaining bail did not attend the court. NBWs were issued against them and they were absconding since 1994.

The accused Sherley Tommy, W/o. M.M. Tommy, age 70 yrs, R/o. Ernakulam, Kerala and C.I.Joy @ C.I Joseph @ C.I. George, S/o. Ittiyakunju, aged 67 yrs, R/o. Ernakulam, Kerala were apprehended by the CID, NBW team at Ernakulam, Kerala state and produced before the Hon’ble court.

A team consisting of J.Lingaswamy, Inspector of Police, D. Ramesh, SI of Police, D.Narsaiah HC , Anand PC and WPC Anitha went to Ernakulam, Kerala executed the NBWs against the accused and brought them to Hyderabad.

On the directions of Mahesh Bhagwat, Addl. DGP, CID, TS and under the able guidance of B. Ram Reddy, SP,CMS, CID and . K. Venkata Lakshmi, Superintendent of Police, EOW, CID, TS, Hyderabad, the NBW team of J.lingaswamy, Inspector of Police, D. Ramesh, SI of Police, D. Narsaiah HC , Anand PC and WPC Anitha apprehended the accused and brought them from Kerala to Hyderabad and sent them for judicial custody. (Maxim News)
