Notorious Interstate Counterfeit Currency Racket Busted: 13 Arrested

Counterfeit Currency Racket | Hyderabad, April 25 (Maxim News) Team of Special Task Force, L&O Police and Cyberabad Police in a combined operation apprehended a notorious Inter-State counterfeit currency racket of 13 members circulating fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) in Telangana and other states and seized counterfeit currency notes Rs. 30,68,500, net cash Rs. 60,500 and 13 mobile phones.

The accused who has been arrested are 1. Koneti Rajesh S/o Hema Rao, Age: 33 years, Occ: Dance Master, R/o. Vanasthalipuram, Ranga Reddy. N/o. Golabanda Village, Gopalpur mandal, Gajjam Dist, Odisha State. 2. Neel Das S/o. Abhijith Das, Age: 21 Years, R/o. Vanasthalipuram, N/o. West Pratapgarh, Agartrala, Tirupura State. 3. Addagulla Suman S/o Manohar, Age: 28 Years, Occ: Private Employee, R/o. Vangapally, Yadagirigutta, Bhuvanagiri Dist, Telangana State. 4. Gurappagari Naveen S/o Gurappagari Sharanaiah, Age: 25 years, Occ: Business, R/o Ram Nagar, Hyderabad, N/o. Alwal, Mirdoddi Mandal, Medak, Telangana State. 5. Loggari Madhu S/o Sathaiah, Age: 23 years, Occ: M. Pharmacy, R/o., Alwal, Mirdoddi Mandal, Medak, Telangana State. 6. Kovvuri Vinodh Satish Kumar Reddy, S/o. The absconding accused are 1. Suriya, S/o Selvaraj, Age: 37 years, R/o. Andal Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu State. 2. Charan Singh S/o. Late Ganapathi Singh, Age: 47 years, R/o.Prodatturu, Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh State. 3. Kasthuri Ramesh Babu S/o. Late Venkataiah, Age: 36 years, Occ: Mechanic, R/o Kosgi, Narayanpet District, Telangana State.

Notorious Interstate Counterfeit Currency Racket Busted: 13 Arrested

According to the Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, Stephen Ravindra, said on receiving a complaint from the Supervisor working at Raidurgam, that one of the customers Rajesh at the time of vacating the room gave fake notes and the fake notes look exactly like the original notes. On further investigation found that the Rajesh and some other people formed a gang and circulated fake currency notes by secretly printing them somewhere and they all circulated in the market according to their plan, due to their activities ordinary citizens and petty business vendors are suffering financial loss, due to the involvement of such a gang. Also, the circulation of counterfeit currency is causing huge losses to the Indian Economy.

The accused Rajesh used to comment on the YouTube videos and post on Instagram that the fake currency is available and provide the mobile number in the account DP through which various clients come in contact with him and purchase the Fake notes. The same marketing is used by various manufacturers and distributors for the circulation of fake currency. In the similar manner the accused Rajesh and Neel Das came into contact with various counterfeit currency suppliers/manufacturers i.e., Ramesh of Telangana, Charan Singh & gang from Andhra Pradesh and Suriya from Tamil Nadu. They took the Counterfeit Currency from them in a 1:5 ratio. The main gang members Rajesh and Neel Das supplied counterfeit currency to other gang members in 1:3 ratio saying these notes are similar to original currency. The accused asked the persons to whom he supplied the counterfeit currency to use the currency in the night markets, street vendors and small shopkeepers.

The team members of the Special Task Force, L&O Police and Cyberabad Commissionerate have done tremendous work under the leadership of V. Syam Babu, ACP, STF and the able guidance of Kalmeshwar Shingenavar, DCP, Crimes, Cyberabad. The Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad Stephen Ravindra, appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Inspectors P. Narender-STF, P. Ravindra Prasad-EOW, K. Bala Raju-CCS Balanagar, Anjaneyulu-Kukatpally, Raja Gopal Reddy-Raidurgam, Yadaiah-CAT, Palavelli-Chandanagar, Sri. Rama Krishna-Jeedimetla, V. Venu Madhav-SHE Team, CH. Raju-Alwal and Sub-Inspectors B. Sanjeev-STF, Vijay Vardhan-SOT Madhapur, K.
