Raja Singh: Ulemas, Sufis, AIMIM leaders Meet DGP, Demands Action
Hyderabad, Oct 16 (Maxim News): A delegation of Ulemas and religious scholars, accompanied by AIMIM Bahadurpura MLA Mohd Mubeen and MLC Mirza Rahmat Baig, met Telangana DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy here on Thursday.
They met to address derogatory remarks allegedly made by expelled MLA T. Raja Singh against Prophet Muhammad. The meeting focused on community concerns and called for immediate enforcement of the law. The leaders framed the issue as one of public order and respect for religious sentiments.
The delegation stated that Muslims will never tolerate any disrespect towards the Holy Prophet They said repeated offensive remarks by suspended BJP MLA Raja Singh have caused deep hurt among believers and demanded his immediate arrest.

They also sought cancellation of his bail for allegedly violating court conditions. Their appeal emphasized urgency and accountability. According to participants, the remarks have threatened public peace and heightened tensions.
Therefore, the delegation urged swift and strict legal action to deter further provocation.
They underlined that enforcement should match the seriousness of the alleged violations and protect community harmony. The call was positioned as a step to restore calm.
Meanwhile, the leaders stressed that this is not a political dispute but a matter of faith and law. They noted that repeated incidents erode trust and risk wider unrest. (Maxim News)
