Under ‘PM Vishwakarma Scheme’ Rs 15 Thousand Is Free, Low Interest Up To The One Lakh Loan

Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 17 (Maxim News):  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the new scheme “Vishwakarma Scheme” from the Red Fort in Delhi on the occasion of 77th Independence Day celebrations will commence from  September 17 on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti.

Under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana scheme, for skill training of Nai Brahmins, tonners, blacksmiths, potters, and other caste workers, for the purchase of necessary modern tools Rs. 15 thousand will be provided free and for the working capital and other investment upto Rs. one lakh will be provided with low interest.  In the second installment Rs. 2 lakhs loan will be provided.  The government will also make facilities for the marketing of products made by professional artisans.  30 lakh families will get financial assistance under PM Vishwakarma Yojana.

Under the PM Vishwakarma scheme, the Central government budgeted Rs. 13,000 crore to Rs. 15,000 crore.  the Central government aims to further improve the quality and level of artisans, art products, and services, and integrate them with the domestic and global supply chain.  The scheme will help the economic empowerment of workers, especially Scheduled Castes. Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes, Women, Transgender and other weaker sections of society. (Maxim News)
