Union Budget 2024: Allocations For Key Sectors And Schemes 

Delhi/Hyderabad, Feb 1 (Maxim News): Union Finance Minister Nirmala Siytharaman said while presenting the interim budget for the year 2024-25 today, that economic reforms are being implemented to boost India’s growth.  It is the last one before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections due in May this year.  The Interim Budget is being considered as the financial manifesto of the BJP.

Nirmala Sitharaman said that India’s capital expenditure will increase by 11 percent to Rs. 11.11 lakh crore or 3.4 percent of GDP in 2024-25. 

In this order, the Union Minister has announced that the budget will be Rs. 47.66 lakh crore by 2024-25.  Out of this, the income from various channels is Rs. 30.80 lakh crores.  In this Tax collections will be Rs. 26.02 lakh crores.  Let’s take a look at the budget allocations for different sectors here.

Ministry of Home Affairs Rs. 2.03 lakh crores 

Ministry of Rural Development Rs. 1.77 lakh crores 

Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers Rs. 1.68 lakh crores

Ministry of Communications Rs.  1.37 lakh crores

Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Rs. 1.27 lakh crores
