Union Cabinet To Conduct Caste Census In Upcoming Census
Delhi/Hyderabad, April 30 (Maxim News): The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a key decision. The Cabinet has agreed to conduct a caste census in the upcoming census. The Cabinet has decided to include caste census in the upcoming census.
The Cabinet has decided to conduct a census next year. As part of this, it has been decided to conduct a caste census along with the census. Although the census was supposed to be conducted in 2019, it could not be carried out due to Corona.
Along with this, the Cabinet has approved the construction of Shillong-Silchar National highway. The Cabinet has given the green signal for the construction of 166 km of green field National Highway at a cost of Rs. 22,864 crore. As a result, connectivity to Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur and Barak Valley in Assam will increase.
At the same time, the Cabinet has approved the support price of sugarcane at Rs. 350 per quintal. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced the decisions of the Council of Ministers after the Cabinet meeting.
Everyone expected that the cabinet would take a decision regarding the Pahalgam terror attack in the Union Cabinet meeting held today.
However, the meeting ended without any discussion regarding the terror attack in today’s meeting. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav did not make any statement on this. Therefore, analysts believe that the Center’s silence on the reactions regarding the attack is also a strategic move. (Maxim News)
