“Uplifted Minorities through Innovative Schemes”, Claims KCR

Uplifted Minorities | Hyderabad, Dec 4 (Maxim News): TRS Chief and Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao claimed that the TRS government is working for the all round development of Muslim Minorities, giving highest priority to welfare and implementing innovative programs to empower minorities socially and economically and provide them with job and employment opportunities.

It has claimed that the TRS government has earmarked Rs. 1724.69 crores in the budget of 2022-23 which is unprecedented.

Shadi Mubarak is being implemented for minorities at par with SCs, STs and BCs, Since 2014-14 till date, financial assistance of Rs. 2,165 crore has been provided to 2,28,200 minority girls marriages at the rate of Rs. 1,00,016 each.

Through the Minority Finance Corporation, programs such as Own Your Auto, Driver Empowerment Scheme, distribution of Sewing Machines, Subsidized Bank Loans, skill development etc. are being implemented.

Uplifted Minorities

Distributed 110 moped for the welfare of the fakir community, gift packets on the occasion of Ramzan, Rupees five thousand for Imams and five thousand rupees for Mouzams every month.

60 urdu officers have been appointed. For Makkah Masjid repairs Rs. 8.48 crores, Rs. 39 crores for Aneesul Gurba and Rs. 50 crores for the development of Jahangir Peer Dargah.

Construction of Jamia-Nizamia auditorium with Rs. 14.65 crores and Islamic cultural Convention Center with Rs. 40 crores has been undertaken.

Top priority to the educational development of Muslims minorities with the aim to develop the skills of the students and provide them with valuable knowledge.

In 2014 Minority Gurukulas were started across the state with the aim of providing free education of high standards to minorities as part of KG to PG education. Of these, 107 are residential schools for boys and 97 for girls. In many places junior colleges have been upgraded. About 1,30,560 students across the state are being provided free education in English medium.

To help the minority students get admission in national level educational institutions, the CM Overseas Scholarship Scheme has been started for minority students who aspire to pursue higher education abroad and has provided financial assistance of Rs. 436 crore to 2,725 students since 2015 at the rate of Rs. 20 lakh each.

It has allocated Rs. 40 crore for minority students post matric stipend and Rs. 150 crore for tuition fee reimbursement.
