US Ambassador Juster visits Qutb Shahi tombs
Hyderabad, Feb 28(Maxim News): US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster today visited the Qutb Shahi tombs Complex here to witness first-hand the restoration work being carried out at the site by Aga Khan Trust for Culture.
The envoy, accompanied by Katherine Hadda, US Consul General, also met Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan here, an official release said.
“Ambassador Kenneth Juster visited the Qutb Shahi tombs Complex. The Ambassador, along with the officials from the Aga Khan Trust for Culture and Telangana government’s department of Archaeology and Museums, toured the premises of the Qutb Shahi tombs and had an opportunity to witness firsthand the restoration work being carried out there,” it said.
AKTC Project Director Ratish Nanda and Department of Archaeology Director NR Visalatchy briefed the Ambassador on the project.
Juster applauded the team for their passion and dedication in preserving the city’s rich cultural heritage and raising public awareness of it, the release said.
