Uttam Demands Capital Punishment for Rape-Murder Case Accused

Hyderabad, Sept.26 (Maxim News): Congress party MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy today demanded the state government to take steps for ensuring capital punishment for the accused of the rape-murder of a Married woman in Nalgonda district.

Uttam made this demand after visiting the family members of the victim at their residence. He handed over a financial assistance of ₹1 lakh on his behalf after consoling the family members.

He also assured the family that they would extend help to them on behalf of the party.

Speaking to media persons later, he termed the incident as tragic and added that there was no security for the lives of the women in the state.

He alleged that the state government had failed in providing security to the women of the state.

He demanded the state government to constitute a fast track for the speedy trial of the murder case and ensure capital punishment to the accused . He also demanded the state government to hand over a compensation of ₹50 lakh to the family members of the victim besides providing a government job to one of the family members. (Maxim News)
