Uttam ridicules KCR’s objection to Congress-TDP alliance

Hyderabad, October 5 (Maxim News): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has ridiculed the objection raised by caretaker Chief Minister and TRS President K. Chandrashekhar Rao on the Congress party’s alliance with TDP.

Addressing a meeting of Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee’s executive meeting at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said KCR had no moral right to question or object Congress party’s alliance with any other party. He reminded that TRS had forged an alliance with TDP in 2009 elections and now when Congress is discussing an alliance with the TDP, KCR is calling it ‘anti-Telangana’ and other names.

“MIM had strongly opposed formation of Telangana till 2014. But today the same MIM is an ally of TRS. When you can ally with MIM, why can’t Congress go along with TDP?” he asked. Further, he asked KCR to mind his own business and stop commenting on Congress party’s allies. He also reminded that while addressing a press conference immediately after dissolution of Assembly on September 6, KCR had claimed that Congress-TDP alliance would not affect him in any way as TRS would get 50% votes. However, having sensed a humiliating defeat in next elections, KCR has started targeting TDP and Congress leaders, he said while adding that choosing an ally was Congress party’s prerogative and KCR had no business to talk about it.

Uttam Kumar Reddy claimed that KCR has advanced the Assembly elections only to cheat the Muslim community. “KCR hopes to win the Assembly elections with the support of Muslims votes and then switch his loyalties to BJP in the Lok Sabha polls. However, KCR’s cheap tactics would remain buried in his head as Muslims would not allow the TRS chief to cheat them once again. “All sections have realised the fact that KCR is a habitual liar and he had established his entire political fiefdom on a bundle of lies, cheating and deception.

He ridiculed KCR’s contention that he had risked his life for the sake of Telangana by undertaking a fast during statehood movement. He said KCR’s fast was as fake as KCR himself. Reading out an extract from the reports of NIMS, Uttam Kumar Reddy said KCR was being administered supportive IV Fluids with alimentation and multivitamins and other medicines through injection. There was no risk to KCR’s life as he was getting required fluids and nutrients through injection. He said civil rights activists Irom Chanu Sharmila had survived for 16 years without food as she was given the same fluids and nutrients through injection. Originally, he said, after three days of fasting in Khammam KCR had drunk a glass of juice by snatching it from a compounder. Angry over KCR breaking the fast, Osmania University students took out a protest rally against him. Fearing more backlashes, KCR had enacted the drama of fasting in NIMS. He said KCR had only grown his beard in NIMS in the name of fasting and cheated the people.

Strongly condemning KCR for making personal remarks against him in Nizamabad meeting, Uttam Kumar Reddy defended calling KCR a ‘batte baaz’ and ‘dhokay baaz’ (cheater). He said he stands by his statement that KCR had spent his whole life speaking lies and cheating people. Contrary to this, Uttam Kumar Reddy said he had spent his major part of life serving the nation as the pilot of Indian Air Force. “When I was defending the country on borders by flying MIG-21 and MIG-23, KCR was cheating the people as a broker of one Dubai’s Travel Agent by making fake passports and fake Visas. He also claimed that KCR was once arrested by the Delhi police in a fake Visa racket. However, he said the then MP and Congress General Secretary M. Satyanarayana got him released on personal guarantee.

Uttam Kumar Reddy also accused KCR of inciting innocent youth and students to suicide during statehood agitation. He said on November 29, 2009, Harish Rao had enacted the drama of attempting suicide in Siddipet. While Harish Rao survived unhurt, this incident prompted other innocent youth to commit suicide for the statehood cause. Similarly, he said KCR made a statement on December 20, 2009, saying that Telangana could be achieved only after the death of 4 lakh people. He said those statements provoked hundreds of youth to suicide. Therefore, he said KCR alone is responsible for suicide by hundreds of innocent people.

The TPCC chief said that the growth and development of Telangana has come to a halt after TRS came to power. He said the previous Congress Government had developed Hyderabad as a global city from 2004-2014. Outer Ring Road, PVNR Express Way, International Airport, Metro Rail, flyovers and other infrastructure was all created by the Congress Government. TRS Government did not add a single item in the list of infrastructure of Hyderabad. Instead, he said TRS destroyed the image of Hyderabad as global city and today Hyderabad is being called a capital of ‘potholes’.

Uttam Kumar Reddy directed the party cadre to visit all households in Greater Hyderabad to enlighten the people about the failures of TRS Government and achievements of previous Congress regime. Asking them not to waste even a minute for the next 50 days, he said he want every leader and worker to conduct padayatras in their areas. “I don’t want to see anyone in Gandhi Bhavan or at my residence to meet me. I assure that the party ticket would be directly delivered to eligible candidates at their doorstep. I will not allow any kind of lobbying or pressure tactics. You must be among people all the times and avoid all other activities for now,” he told party cadre. He also asked Hyderabad DCC president Anjan Kumar Yadav to conduct padayatras in at least three Assembly constituencies every day. He said that the Congress party must aim to win at least 10 out of 15 Assembly seats in Hyderabad district.

The TPCC chief said that the Congress party had got fewer votes from Muslims and settlers in the last elections. However, this time both the groups are favouring the Congress party which would automatically ensure party’s victory in majority of seats in the State’s capital.

Uttam Kumar Reddy also asked MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi to clarify the basis on which he was supporting the TRS. “KCR has openly cheated the Muslims on 12% reservation issue. TRS Government did not fulfil any other promises it made with the Muslim community. Further, not even 50% of allocated budget was spent on minorities’ welfare. Despite these facts, Owaisi is supporting the TRS only for personal gains,” he said. (Maxim News)
