Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Saturday expanded her ministry by inducting six new ministers, while elevating two ministers of state to cabinet rank and dropping two from the ministry.
Governor Kalyan Singh administered oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers at a function held here. Raje, her cabinet colleagues, BJP office-bearers and senior government officials were present on the occasion.
First one to take oath were Ajay Singh Kilak and Babulal Verma, who have been elevated to cabinet rank.
The other ministers are Srichand Kripalni and Jaswant Yadav (cabinet ministers) and Basindhar Bajia, Kamsa Meghwal, Dhansingh Rawat and Sushil Katara (all ministers of state).
Raje also dropped two ministers of state while appointing five new parliamentary secretaries.
This is third time Raje has expanded her ministry since she took over in December 2013.
“Our team was already working good. There is two more years in state assembly elections and we want to take state forward… the expansion is aimed at achieving that goal,” she told reporters after the ceremony.
