Hyderabad, March.5 (Maxim News): Veteran journalist Potturi Venkateswara Rao passed away here this morning after battling illness at a private hospital here. He was 86.
Born on February 8, 1934, at Potturu in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh, Potturi started his career as a journalist in 1957 with then “Andhra Janatha” Telugu newspaper. He had rendered services as a journalist for over five decades in Telugu news media, including “Eenadu”, “Andhra Bhoomi”, “Vaartha” and “Andhra Prabha”. Apart from being a journalist, Potturi also authored and co-authored a few books, including one on former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao titled as “Years of Power” and written several prolific essays and wrote for most of the columns in Telugu dailies.(Maxim News)
