Voter Registration, Objections And Corrections Should Be Applied By 19 Sept: GHMC Commissioner

Hyderabad, Sept 11 (Maxim News): As part of the second special summary revision 2023 program, applications for voter registration, objections and corrections should be made before the 19th of this month, said Hyderabad District Election Officer, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose.

In the wake of the release of the draft voter list, you should check whether your name is in the first place of the voter list by downloading the voter helpline app from the ECI website https://voters.eci.gov.in/. In case the name is not in the voter list, re-registration should be done through ECI, website or voter help line mentioned above.

Those who are above 18 years of age, who will complete 18 years of age by October 1, and who are not yet named in the electoral roll should register through Form-6.

Form-8 (Amendments)

  • Mistakes in name in draft voter list.
  • When the house number is wrong.
  • Non standard house no.
  • When the address changes.
  • Miss match photos in voter list.
  • Irregular photos.,
  • Relationship of family members incorrectly recorded cho (Mother, Father, Wife, Husband, Daughter) .
  • * Where members of the same family are in different polling stations in the same constituency.
  • *If names of family members are registered in different constituencies.
  • *Mobile number update.
  • To correct other errors, you can apply through Form-8 before 19th of this month.

To check your voter in the voter list, for corrections, new voter registration, objections, you can contact your nearest ERO and Deputy Commissioners acting as EROs. Or through ECI website https://votgers.eci.gov.in  one can download voter helpline app and register through that, Hyderabad District Election Officer, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose said.
