Voting was done as per the list: Revanth
Hyderabad, Oct.17 (NSS): TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy today said the voting for the Congress president’s post was held as per the list given by AICC. He made it clear that the TPCC did not have any role in the preparation of the voters’ list. He said he had not played any role in the preparation of the voter’s list.
Addressing media persons along with AICC election returning officer Rajamohan Unnitan, Revanth said any of the party leaders can lodge a complaint with the party high command if they have any issues with the elections. On the allotment of free symbols in the Munugodu by-election by the Election Commission, he said no political party has the power to oppose the allotment of the free symbols in the elections and reminded that the symbol of the ruling TRS party “car” is also a free symbol once.
Stating that the State has 238 delegates and three AICC members, Rajamohan said the election was held in a peaceful manner and added that they would hand over the ballot papers to the Election Commission of the AICC today and added that the election result would be declared on October 19. A total of 96 percent of voting was registered in the president‘s election. The contesting candidate, who gets more than 50 percent votes will be declared as the winner. (NSS)
