WATCH | Asaduddin Owaisi Condemns Israel Attack On Iran
Hyderabad, Mar 1 (Maxim News): Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday strongly condemned the Israel attack on Iran and warned of serious regional consequences. The AIMIM president posted his remarks on X.
Asaduddin Owaisi said the strikes were unacceptable, especially as Iran and the United States were holding talks in Geneva.
Owaisi stated that more than 200 people have died across Iran in the attacks. He added that 108 people were killed when strikes hit a girls school.
Moreover, he described any attempt to assassinate Ayatollah Khamenei as immoral and unlawful. He expressed condolences to the families of those killed.
However, Owaisi urged an immediate halt to hostilities. He warned that continued attacks could push the region into instability. He also highlighted the presence of nearly 10 million Indians working across West Asia.
Therefore, he stressed that escalation could directly affect Indian citizens and their livelihoods.
Israel attack on Iran sparks sharp political reaction
Owaisi said the Israel attack on Iran, along with Pakistan’s strike in Afghanistan, reflects aggressive conduct in their respective neighbour hoods.
Asad Owaisi stated that such actions increase tensions and undermine peace efforts. Furthermore, he called for restraint and diplomatic engagement to prevent wider conflict.
The Hyderabad MP noted that the attacks occurred during ongoing Iran US discussions in Geneva. Therefore, he said the timing raises concerns about the future of dialogue. He maintained that diplomacy must remain the primary path forward.
West Asia remains critical for global energy supplies and trade routes. Consequently, instability in the region often impacts international markets.
India maintains strong economic and strategic ties with several Gulf nations. Thus, prolonged conflict could disrupt trade, remittances, and energy security.
Owaisi concluded his post with Urdu couplets reflecting on life and death. The verses suggest that death does not mark the end of existence but signals continuation in another form.
However, he emphasized that leaders must prevent civilian casualties and protect regional peace.
The Israel attack on Iran has drawn varied reactions from political leaders across India. As tensions rise, calls for de-escalation and renewed dialogue continue.
