WATCH | Infant Dies After Getting Trapped in Lift in Hyderabad

A tragic incident took place in Hyderabad on Wednesday night when a four-year-old boy lost his life after getting trapped in a lift. The accident happened at the Mujtaba Apartments in Santosh Nagar Colony, Asif Nagar.

The child, Surender, was playing near the lift when he accidentally got stuck inside. He remained unnoticed for nearly ten minutes, struggling inside the elevator. By the time he was found, he was in critical condition. Despite efforts to save him, he died before reaching the hospital.

Surender’s father, Sham Bahadur, works as a watchman in the building and lives there with his wife and son. Around 10 PM, the boy was playing near the lift when the accident happened.

When his parents realized he was missing, they searched for him and found him trapped inside the lift, bleeding. Panicked, they called for help, and hostel residents immediately informed the police. Officers arrived at the scene and pulled the unconscious child out, but doctors later confirmed that he had already passed away.

His parents, devastated by the loss of their only child, are struggling to cope with the tragedy. Authorities are investigating to find out how the accident happened and whether there was any negligence involved.
