WATCH | Kaleshwaram Project Probe: KCR’s Inquiry Concludes, Grilled For 50 Minutes, 18 Questions Asked
Hyderabad, June 11 (Maxim News): Former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s Kaleshwaram Commission hearing has concluded. The hearing lasted for about 50 minutes. Commission Chairman PC Ghosh questioned KCR regarding the Kaleshwaram project.
On this occasion, KCR presented several documents to the commission. First, Commissioner Chairman PC Ghosh administered an oath to KCR to tell the facts as a divine witness. Ghosh asked a total of 18 questions. The commission asked questions on re-engineering, formation of the corporation, and cabinet approval. KCR explained the main reasons for re-engineering at length.
KCR explained that everything was done with the approval of the cabinet. He said that the government made all the decisions with the approval of the cabinet. He told the commission that VAPCOS had reported on the location change, water availability, and the construction of Kaleshwaram. He handed over the book Life Line kaleshwaram to the commission. In it, the objectives of Kaleshwaram were explained. He said that a corporation was formed to raise funds. KCR revealed that he had no involvement in the decision taken by engineers regarding the water storage in the barrages.
When the commission asked if he had given any orders for storing water in the barrages, KCR replied that he had not given any such orders. The barrages were built to lift water. The commission asked another question about who had decided to change the project location. KCR explained at length why the location had to be changed. He said that the CWC had said that there was no water availability at Tummidi Hatti. VAPCOS had conducted a survey and given a report. The technical team had said that three barrages should be built. He said that Maharashtra had not agreed to the construction of the project at Tummidi Hatti. He said that the location change was made as per the report given by the technical team. KCR said that all the decisions were made with the approval of the cabinet. After the inquiry, the former CM greeted the activists in front of BRK Bhavan. Later, KCR left from there.
Meanwhile, KCR reached BRK Bhavan in Hyderabad from his farmhouse in Siddipet today (Wednesday) as part of the kaleshwaram inquiry. KCR, who went inside for the inquiry, told the commission that he had a cold. In this order, the commission took a key decision regarding the inquiry. KCR canceled the open court hearing. The commission canceled the open hearing due to KCR’s illness. Interrogated the former CM face-to-face in Indore. So far, the Kaleshwaram Commission has interrogated 114 people.
After the Kaleshwaram Commission inquiry ended, KCR went straight to Yashoda Hospital. KCR will visit Jangaon MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy. During KCR’s Kaleshwaram inquiry, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy went to Siddipet’s farmhouse. However, the MLA accidentally slipped there. In the process, he was injured in his hip. He was immediately rushed to Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad in an ambulance. Palla Rajeshwar Reddy is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. (Maxim News)
