WATCH | Massive Fire In Shalibanda: Flames Rising

Hyderabad: A massive fire erupted at Gomathi Electronics in Shalibanda on Monday evening, triggering panic across the area as a series of loud explosions shook the locality. The blast-like sounds were caused by electronic appliances and multiple AC and washing machine compressors bursting due to the intense heat inside the store, officials said.

Within minutes, thick black smoke and towering flames engulfed the building, prompting an urgent response from the fire department. Firefighters are currently engaged in a challenging operation to douse the flames and are working tirelessly to ensure the fire does not spread to adjoining commercial establishments or the densely packed residential structures nearby.

Given the severity of the situation, police immediately diverted traffic and temporarily shut down the busy Charminar–Chandrayangutta main road. Commuters have been advised to use alternative routes until the area is cleared and declared safe.

As a precaution, authorities have also begun evacuating residents from neighbouring buildings due to continuous explosions and the heavy smoke filling the stretch. The situation remains tense as fire personnel continue their efforts to bring the blaze under control.
