Water Board Motors Rising Levels In Osman Sagar And Himayat Sagar Reservoir

Hyderabad, Aug 7 (Maxim News):  With inflows into the twin reservoirs of Osmansagar and Himayat Sagar continuing on Thursday, water board officials are maintaining a close watch on rising water levels.

Officials of Hyderabad metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) stated that the inflows were being closely monitored and that necessary precautions were in place.  

According to HMWS&SB’s water level statement, which was recorded at 6 am, the Osmansagar reservoir’s water level is 1,782.80 feet, below the full tank level (FTL) of 1,790 feet, with zero inflows.

Himayat Sagar reservoir, already at brim, remains one foot (1,762.45 feet) from the FTL of 1,763.50 feet, with inflows of 50 cusecs. 

Residents in low-lying areas and along the Musi River have been advised to remain alert as the situation develops. (Maxim News)
