Water Heater Explosion | Medchal, Sept. 23: A house was gutted after a water heater allegedly exploded at Somaram in Yellampet, Medchal, on Wednesday.
No casualties were reported as nobody was inside the house when the fire broke out.
House owner B Mahesh reportedly switched on the water heater before stepping outside.
Within minutes, flames erupted and quickly spread through the house.

Local residents rushed to the spot after noticing the fire. They managed to douse the flames using water from nearby homes.
According to Mahesh, property worth around Rs 4 lakh was destroyed in the fire.
Around 2.5 quintals of rice, clothes, household items and electrical appliances were reportedly reduced to ashes.
Since the house was empty at the time, no one was injured in the incident.
Meanwhile, Medchal police have launched an investigation into the suspected water heater explosion and the cause of the fire.
