Water Supply To Be Disrupted For 36 Hours From Saturday
Hyderabad, Dec 26 (Maxim News): Residents in several areas will face a disruption in drinking water supply for 36 hours starting this Saturday, due to major repair and maintenance works on the Krishna Phase–I Water Supply System.
According to officials, water supply will be suspended from 6:00 am on Saturday, December 27, and is expected to remain affected until 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 28.
During this period, critical works will be carried out, including the repair of leakage in a 700 mm pipeline, replacement of damaged valves and air tees on the 2200 mm pumping main, junction works at Narapally, and repair of faulty valves at the Kodandapur and Narsarlapally pumping stations.
The water shutdown will impact several localities, including MirAlam, Kishan Bagh, Moghalpura, Falaknuma, Bahadurpura, Santosh Nagar, Saidabad, surrounding areas of Chandrayangutta, Yakutpura, Narayanaguda, parts of Dilsukhnagar, Aliabad, Riyasat Nagar, Jalpally, Tukkuguda, Fab City, Hardware Park, and Manneguda, among others.
Officials have assured that water supply will be restored immediately after the completion of the maintenance works. Meanwhile, residents have been advised to store water in advance and use water judiciously during the disruption period. (Maxim News)
