We will give ticket to Rajagopal Reddy if returns to party fold: Revanth

Hyderabad, Aug.20 (Maxim News): TPCC President and the Congress party MP A. Revanth Reddy today made a sensational statement and said that the party was once again ready to give ticket to estranged leader and former MLA K. Rajagopal Reddy from the same Munugodu constituency if he returned to the party fold. He also promised Rajagopal Reddy that all the senior leaders of the party would work for his victory in the upcoming by elections in the constituency. He reminded that Rajagopal Reddy resigned from his MLA’s post in protest against the negligence of his constituency by CM KCR led state government. He made these sensational remarks while addressing media persons after flagging off the party’s padayatra in Munugodu.

Speaking on the occasion, he targeted BJP and said that there would be a lot of fan fare when a leader joins BJP and added that the saffron party leadership would forget about the leaders after their entry into it. He cited the examples of the BJP leaders like Lal Krishna Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, Sumitra Mahajan and M. Venkaiah Naidu to support his claims and alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had ignored them by not fielding them in elections. Targeting the PM Narendra Modi, he asked Modi as to how he would seek the votes of the people of Munugodu after criticising that the separate Telangana state was formed by locking up the doors of Parliament. The statement made by Revanth Reddy has already created ripples in the political circles of the state. Rajagopal Reddy has not yet reacted to the statement of Revanth Reddy.

Speaking further, Revanth said that it had become a fashion for all the leaders to talk about ideals after selling themselves to rival political parties. He said that all the people of the state were now looking at the by-elections in Munugodu and added that Munugodu was care of address for the historic armed peasant struggle. Targeting CM KCR, he alleged that the CM did not show any solution to the problems faced by Munugodu and its people. He said that problems roads, podu lands and drinking water were not solved by the CM so far in the constituency. (Maxim News)
