Woman Constable Committed Suicide

Hyderabad, May 4 (Maxim News): A woman constable committed suicide because of her grief over the cancellation of her engagement.

The incident which took place in Shalibanda Police Station, Surekha (28) daughter of Parvatalu of Jaitaran Village in Kandukur is a 2018 batch constable. She has been working at Chatrinaka Police Station for one year. She lives in a rented house in Kalvagadda with her sister. Surekha got engaged a year ago and it was called off due to unavoidable reasons.

On the 1st of this month, she got married to another young man in her hometown. However, she noticed that the family members were discussing that Surekha would have a son next to the young man. Saddened that this also will be cancelled, surekha threw herself at home on Wednesday when her younger sister went to duty. The police have registered a case based on the complaint filed by the house owner. (Maxim News)
