Women Drowned While Taking Photo At Thanthadi Beach

Hyderabad, June 3 (Maxim News): A family trip to Thanthadi Vadapalem beach turned into a nightmare on Sunday afternoon when two young women were swept away by a wave and drowned. Another woman is in critical condition at the hospital.

The victims, N. Kanakadurga (27) and her sister Endapalli Nukaratnam (24), were enjoying a day at the beach with friends and family. While posing for a photo on the rocks near the water’s edge, a large wave struck, pulling them into the sea.

Seeing their loved ones in trouble, family members desperately called for help. Local fishermen bravely attempted a rescue, but they were only able to save Dwarampudi Sirisha (23), Kanakadurga’s friend. Despite being rushed to hospitals in Paravada and Anakapalli, both Kanakadurga and Nukaratnam were pronounced dead on arrival. Sirisha remains in critical condition.

Kanakadurga’s family, including her husband Ganesh and two young daughters, is now grieving this sudden loss. The police are investigating the incident. This tragedy serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of strong waves and the importance of staying clear of the water’s edge, especially when taking photos. (Maxim News)
