Yadadri Temple Coins Case: Officials Suspended

Hyderabad: The Yadadri temple coins case has led to disciplinary action after authorities found irregularities linked to missing gold and silver coins at the Yadadri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple. Executive Officer Bhavani Shankar suspended two officials and issued charge memos to two others following an internal review. The action came after reports surfaced about coins missing from the temple’s publicity section.

According to the official order issued late on Friday night, Assistant Executive Officer Raghu Babu also received a show cause notice in connection with the Yadadri temple coins case. The temple management acted after examining findings submitted by an internal committee. Meanwhile, officials stated that the committee was set up soon after media reports highlighted possible irregularities in coin stocks.

The temple management constituted the committee to examine and analyse the reported discrepancies involving the Yadadri temple coins. Later, the committee submitted a detailed report to the authorities. Based on its findings, Executive Officer Bhavani Shankar ordered the suspension of Junior Assistant P Ramachandra Shekar and Record Assistant T Lakshmi. Officials stated that both were suspended for negligence of duty linked to the missing coins.

Meanwhile, the management issued charge memos to Superintendents K Natraj and K Sitaramacharyulu. Authorities cited poor supervision as the reason for the disciplinary action. The Yadadri temple coins issue has drawn strong reactions, with many demanding strict steps against those responsible. The episode triggered widespread condemnation from various sections, increasing pressure on temple officials to act firmly.

According to reports, 18 gold coins and 48 silver coins were found missing from the temple. The issue came to light after the accounts section noticed a mismatch. Officials found differences between the cumulative total of coins recorded in official records and the physical stock available in the publicity section. Therefore, the discrepancy raised serious concerns over internal controls and record keeping.

Later, the temple management initiated measures to recover the missing Yadadri temple coins. Officials stated that steps are underway to trace the coins and fix responsibility. Meanwhile, the disciplinary action marked a significant move by the management to address lapses and restore confidence. The case remains under close watch as authorities proceed with recovery efforts and further action based on the committee’s findings.
