Hyderabad, Aug 13 (Maxim News): Police have registered a case against a young man who threatened to throw acid on a young woman’s face or kill her for breaking off her engagement. Going into details, a young woman (33) lives in Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad and works as a deputy manager in an insurance company. A young man named Ambavari Vamsi from Tirupati approached her through a dating app. He took Rs. 15 lakhs, saying that he wanted to set up a software company in America to find antidotes for breast cancer. When the two got engaged in April this year, Vamsi started harassing the young woman and demanded that she pay the entire dowry in advance. The young woman broke off her engagement after telling her family members about this.
Angry that Vamsi had broken off the engagement, he started sending emails to the girl’s office, saying that she was addicted to drugs and that her brother was funding terrorists. In addition, the girl was staying at home in fear as he threatened to throw acid on her or kill her if she was seen outside. The girl complained that the harassment did not stop even after she complained to the police in June. Meanwhile, on the 4th of this month, Vamsi complained to the Tirupati police station that the girl was threatening her, and the Tirupati police registered a case against the girl. The girl complained that the Tirupati police registered a case against her without listening to her arguments, and on the 5th, the girl complained in Vanasthalipuram. (Maxim News)
