Lucknow/Hyderabad, Aug 13 (Maxim News): The name of the first private train in the country is Tejas. This train was launched by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). It runs between Lucknow-Delhi. Now this train will be called Sprite Tejas Express. IRCTC has given this advertising rights for a period of six months. With this, the North Eastern Railway has suggested that this train be called ‘Sprite Tejas Express’. This is the first time that a train in the country is given a brand name.
A Superfast train, it has AC and state-of-the-art facilities. It provides food, beverages, and infotainment services. Similarly, group bookings can be made. A 78-seater AC chair car can be used for meetings, weddings, and any event. IRCTC pays the Indian Railways for the use of the tracks and infrastructure of this private train. Tejas, the country’s first private train, was launched by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on December 3, 2021. (Maxim News)
