YS Sharmila Clarifies On Congress Merger Rumours
Hyderabad, May 16 (maxim News): The YSRTP President, Y.S. Sharmila denied that there is a plan to merge her YSRTP party with the Congress and the formation of alliance. She clarified that she is getting calls from all parties, presently we are in charging mode stating that her party is strong in 43 Assembly segments in Telangana.
Speaking to media persons at the party office, today. She said that the party is not being merged into the Congress party and added that there is no need to form a party to merge, If she comes forward, no party will say no to her.
She pointed out that the Congress party is not able to keep its flock with them, she said in the last elections 19 MLAs have won on congress ticket, out of this it has now remained only five, she said that Congress party lacks leadership that cannot retain the winning MLAs. she questioned whether the Congress party has the power to bring back those who left the party, to answer this, it is a million dollar question ? However, she said that she will reveal later on the issue of formation of alliance. She said that is she want to merge, she would have not put up a party
Sharmila also responded to alliances in the upcoming elections. Sharmila asked the media that in a survey conducted by a national organization, there were reports that YSRTP would be effective in 43 constituencies in Telangana. She said that we are the only party in Telangana which is doing struggles and movements on public issues. There is no need to reduce seats with anyone, our party is strong and we are in charging mode.
she also responded to the meeting with Congress PCC Chief of Karnataka D.K. Shivakumar in Bengaluru, she explained that D.K Shivakumar did politics in the same way as late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, he led the party and won with hard work. (Maxim News)
