YS Sharmila Visits Flood Hit Farmers From Vikarabad

Hyderabad, June 11 (Maxim News): Politician YS Sharmila today visited the flood hit farmers of Vikarabad district. Although the police tried to stop her, she managed to reach the farmers and consoled them. She assured the farmers that she would stand by them. She demanded the state government to buy drenched and damaged paddy from the farmers.

She also demanded the state government to pay minimum support price to the farmers whose food grains had changed colour. Sharmila who left her lotus pond residence in the city in the morning was obstructed by the police at Chintapally of Chevella. They put up iron barricades across the road to stop her from going ahead. Some tense moments were witnessed at this juncture between the police and the supporters of Sharmila.

However Sharmila made it clear to the police that she was not violating any Covid norms and demanded them to allow her. The police eventually allowed her. (Maxim News)
