17 Mobile Rest Rooms For Women Cops Flagged Off
Hyderabad, Jan.31 (Maxim News): Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali flagged off 17 “Mobile Rest Rooms and Toilets for Women Police Officers on Bandobust Duties” on premises of DGP office at Saifabad in presence of DGP M. Mahender Reddy, IPS, and other senior police officers.
The State Government placed special emphasis on women’s safety & health and in cognizance of the inconvenience and health issues faced by women police officers during bandobust duties, the government has sanctioned mobile rest rooms and toilets for the women police officers on bandobust duties. The 17 vehicles have been distributed among various district headquarters for deployment to Medaram Jatara and eventually the number will increase to 25 in due course.
The vehicles have been procured through e-tender by the Telangana State Police. The vehicles have state-of-the-art amenities including toilets Indian one, Western two, washroom one, changing room one and wash-basins two fitted with a water tank which can easily be used by 100 individuals per fill. It has well- equipped and efficient high pressure self cleaning system. Sun roofs three have been provided for natural lighting and ventilation, which helps to even terminate the bacteria and algae formation. No-smell filters are fitted into the septic tanks which absorb bad odour which will keep the surroundings of the vehicle stench-free. Telangana State Police is committed towards safety of people and welfare of its personnel and specially women officers. (Maxim News)
