BJP calls Chalo Assembly | Hyderabad, March 23: The Bharatiya Janata Party to organised a Chalo Assembly BJP protest against the Telangana government on Monday.
State leaders and party workers gathered in large numbers. The protest is taking place under the leadership of N. Ramchander Rao.
Party cadres from several districts travelled to Hyderabad. However, police detained some leaders in advance. Authorities took this step to prevent law and order issues. Meanwhile, security was tightened near the Assembly.
BJP leaders alleged that the Congress government failed to implement its six guarantees. They said the promises remain incomplete even after more than two years. Therefore, the party decided to intensify its agitation.
BJP calls Chalo Assembly protest targets government policies
During the protest, BJP leaders criticised the state budget allocations. They claimed funding for education and healthcare remained inadequate. Moreover, they alleged that key sectors did not receive proper attention.
Ramchander Rao also criticised funding for Hyderabad development. He said the budget did not allocate enough resources for infrastructure. He particularly mentioned issues within the Greater Hyderabad limits. According to him, basic civic works require more focus.
The BJP also accused the government of making decisions for vote bank politics. Party leaders said the burden of policies is affecting all sections. At the same time, they demanded corrective steps from the government.
Police increased security around the Assembly due to the Chalo Assembly BJP protest. Officers deployed additional personnel at key junctions. They also monitored movement around sensitive areas. Further updates are expected as the protest continues.
