3 Gates Of Srisailam Lifted Up
As per the flood forecast issued by the Central water Commission (CWC) on Monday, river Godavari is at 55.82 meters in Dummugudem and is expected to rise further.
Hyderabad: With heavy inflows reaching Srisailam reservoir on Monday, engineers have lifted three crest gates and are releasing water down the stream. The inflows are expected to increase because of heavy and incessant rains in the catchment areas of the river and discharges from Narayanpet and Jurala. The inflow on Monday was around 68,901 cusecs. Water level in the project has almost reached the Full Reservoir level (FRL) with 269.69 meters .Engineers are discharging 1, 10,874 cusecs of water. Electricity production is also going on the Right bank hydroelectric generation unit.

Water level at Bhadrachalam is at 46.57 meters and is rising and at Eturnagaram the water level is at 73.22 meters and is rising. On the other hand Water level at Nizamsagar project with 522.51 meters is steady, water level at Singur Dam is 426.06 meters and is rising and water level at SRSP is steady at 332.54 meters.
Water level in Krishna River at Almatti project in Karnataka has been steady with 519.60 meters; water level is rising from 491.99 meters at Narayanpur with heavy inflow of 90,000 cusecs and discharges of 93,000 cusecs. Water level at Priyadarshini Jurala which has a level of 318.33 and inflows are 70,500 cusecs meters and water level at Srisailam reservoir is rising from 269.69 meters. Water level at Nagarjuna Sagar is steady at 179.62 meters.
