36 KGBV Students Fall Sick, Shifted To Hospital

Peddapalli/Hyderabad, Oct 28 (Maxim News): About 36 students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Mutharam Mandal fell sick on Sunday evening. All of them were suffering from coughing and difficulty in breathing. School authorities shifted them to the Peddapalli district hospital.

According to the duty teacher, initially, three students complained about a severe cough at around 6 pm. She informed the matter to the ANM. While the ANM was on the way to school, more students complained of the same issue.  Within 10 to 20 minutes the number went up. They took all of them to a nearby hospital. After conducting a medical examination, the local doctor referred the students to Peddapalli Hospital. A total of 36 students were brought to the Peddapalli hospital.

District Medical and Health Officer, K.Pramood Kumar said that except for cough and difficulty in breathing, the health condition of the students was stable. All of them were admitted to the hospital for observation.

Denying the possibility of food poisoning. DMHO said that students would have developed vomits and motions if they consumed toxic food. However, except for coughing, no student complained about vomiting and motions, he made it clear.  (Maxim News)
