Jogulamba Gadwal, Sept. 28: Thirty-seven students narrowly escaped serious injury after a private tourist bus overturned on National Highway 44 near Boravelli Stage in Jogulamba Gadwal district on Monday morning.
The accident occurred in Manavapadu mandal when a bus travelling from Tamil Nadu lost control and overturned. All 37 students sustained minor injuries, according to reports.
Bus Carrying Students to Hyderabad Wonderla Overturns
The students, from Holy Cross International School in Salem, Tamil Nadu, were travelling to Hyderabad for a field trip to Wonderla.
According to reports, the bus was speeding when the driver lost control near Boravelli Stage. The vehicle subsequently overturned on the highway.
However, all the students escaped with minor injuries. The accident caused concern among the students and their accompanying staff.
Meanwhile, emergency assistance was provided to the injured students. They were shifted to the government hospital at Alampur Crossroads for treatment.
The incident could have resulted in more serious consequences, but no major injuries were reported.
