5,32,451 People Benefited Under Kalyana Lakshi: Gangula

Hyderabad, Sept.21 (Maxim News): Minister for BC Welfare Gangula Kamalakar today informed the Assembly that 5,32,451 people have been benefited under Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes during the last five years.

Replying to questions from members in the House during question hour, Kamalakar said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had introduced the scheme in 2014 to extend financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 to the SCs and STs in the State. Later the amount was increased to Rs 75,000 and Rs 1 lakh while extending it to Backward Classes, he said. (Maxim News)
