KCR Govt Approaches Supreme Court in the Moinabad Farmhouse Case

Hyderabad, Feb 7 (Maxim News): Failing to get any relief from the single judge bench of the High Court of Telangana to stay the orders of the double bench headed by Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan in the Moinabad Farm House case immediately today, the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao government has approached the Supreme Court.

Telangana government Counsel Dushyanthu Dave asked the Chief Justice of India bench to take up the petition immediately.  Concern was expressed in the petition that if the CBI investigates the case, all the evidence will be destroyed.  The Chief Justice of India clarified that if these matters are brought to the notice of the bench on Wednesday, they will allow the hearing next week.

The government approached the High Court seeking a stay on the decision to hand over the MLA purchase case to the CBI and asked for 3 weeks’ time to challenge in the Supreme Court.  The government filed this petition in the High Court in the morning and approached the Supreme Court in the evening.  (Maxim News)
