MLAs Poaching Case To Be Handed Over To CBI: SC
Delhi/Hyderabad, Feb 8 (Maxim News): The KCR government faced a setback in the Supreme Court in the Moinabad Farmhouse case (MLAs poaching case). The Chief Justice of India bench refused to grant a stay on the High Court’s decision to hand over the case to CBI.
The Chief Justice of India, Chandrachud made it clear that if there are merits in the case, the High Court verdict will be reversed. The bench rejected the KCR government’s request to fast-track the case. The next hearing was adjourned to February 17.
The KCR government approached the Supreme Court yesterday challenging the High Court verdict in the farmhouse case. Concern has been expressed in the petition that if the CBI investigates the case, all the evidence will be destroyed. (Maxim News)
