Sivaratri Mallesh, Sivaratri Ravi, Nampally Venkat, Dandungula Laxman and Sivaratri Hanumanthu of Rajanna siricilla district are currently serving jail term in a case in Dubai. They are currently serving the sentence for the death of Dil Prasad Roy from Nepal in 2005. But as per UAE laws (Sharia law) the victim’s family has agreed to receive a compensation of 15 lakhs and to this extent he himself went to Nepal and met the victim’s family in 2013.

KTR said that according to the Sharia law, if the family of the victims provide a letter of apology, they can be released and to this extent, the family of the victim has given all the necessary documents to the Dubai government in 2013. KTR said that he has already appealed to the Indian embassy as well as the UAE embassy several times in this regard. However, the UAE court rejected their amnesty petition and said that they will be freed only if the King of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum grants amnesty. KTR asked the UAE Ambassador to bring their appeal to the attention of the King of Dubai so that he would respond positively in this case which deserves amnesty.

UAE Ambassador Abdul Naseer Alshali praised the development in Telangana state. Abdul Naseer expressed the hope that the face of Hyderabad will change more in the future due to the infrastructure being built to compete with International level cities.
