106th Foundation Day Celebrations Kicks off with a 2K Walk at OU

106th Foundation Day | Hyderabad, April 24 (Maxim News): To commemorate 106th Foundation Day celebrations Osmania University is holding a Three Day fest from April 24th – 26th 2023.

Today being the first day of the celebrations a “2K Walk” was organized from the University College of Arts & Social Sciences to the NCC Gate at Osmania University. Principals, Deans, Directors, Non –Teaching Employees from the NGO, Technical and Employees Union representatives, Students, Research Scholars, and Walkers at OU participated in large numbers.

Prof. Satyanarayana, Dean, of the Faculty of Education, coordinated a tug-of-war event between Vice-Chancellors XI vs. Principals XI, which was won by the VC XI. Prof. P. Laxminarayana, Registrar OU, and Prof. G. Malleshmam, Dean of Development & UGC Affairs participated in the event.

The 2K Walk was flagged off by Prof. D. Ravinder, VC, OU. Prof. P. Laxminarayana later addressed the students and appraised them about the importance of the foundation day and urged them to participate in large numbers in the coming two days with the same zeal.

Prof. D. Ravinder addressed the media and spoke about the significance of foundation day and the rich legacy of Osmania University. Later Dr. Saveen Souda, Programme Coordinator for the NSS coordinated a Massive Cleaning Programme with the NSS Volunteers at OU Campus. (Maxim News)
