Heavy Flood Water In Twin Reservoirs Of Osman And Himayat Sagar

Hyderabad, July 23 (Maxim News): Due to the rains in the upper areas, heavy flood water is coming to the twin reservoirs of Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar. with this, the inflow of 100 cusecs continues to Osman Sagar, thus, the current water level of Osman Sagar is 1785.85 feet, while the full water level is 17790 feet.

Himayat Sagar is getting a flood of 1500 cusecs. The present water level of Himayat Sagar is 1762.50 feet and the full water level is 1763.50 feet. This, Himayat Sagar 4 gates are lifted by two feet, and 2,750 cusecs of water is being released. Flood water is flowing from the Himayat Sagar service. ORR service road from Himayat Nagar towards Rajendra Nagar has been closed. Police set up barricades on both sides. As Himayat Sagar gates were raised, the lowlands were alerted.

On the other hand. Godavari’s water level is increasing slightly at Bhadrachalam. the first hazard alert continues with an inflow of 9.55.828 cusecs at 43.50 feet.

Nizamabad district flood water is entering the Sriram Sagar Project. An inflow of 78.887 cusecs continues. The project’s full level water level is 1091 feet, 90 TMCs. The present water level is 1082 feet, 60,341 TMCs. (Maxim News)
