Smuggling Of Sandalwood In Nehru Zoological Park

Hyderabad, July 23 (Maxim News): The poor security at Nehru Zoological Park in Old City has been exposed once again. Smugglers cut and smuggle sandalwood trees. Unidentified people cut 7 sandalwood trees in the park and took them into small logs. Earlier too, smugglers cut the thick fence of sandalwood trees twice and took them away from the park.

On July 20, the smugglers cut seven sandalwood trees in the zoo, cut them into small pieces, and moved them from the zoo. Zoopark raiders recovered some sandalwood logs hidden around the wall. Later a complaint was filed at Bahadurpura Police Station.

there are entrances on both sides of the zoo park. Even after examining the CC cameras installed in those two entrances, no scenes like sand logs being taken through those gates were seen, which left the zoo officials in surprise. Forest officials are investigating this. (Maxim News)
