Godavari River Swells to 41.3 Feet at Bhadrachalam; First Warning Level Nears as Inflows Surge
Bhadrachalam/Hyderabad, July 31 (Maxim News): River Godavari clams down at Bhadrachalam. the water level, which was 49 feet on Sunday, gradually receded. At 6 am on Monday, the second emergency warning was withdrawn after it reached 47.6 feet.
It reached 45.6 feet at 8 am. The water level is decreasing hour by hour. If it reaches 43 feet, the first danger warning will be canceled.
On the other hand, traffic is continuing on the roads going from Bhadrachalam to Charla as the flood recedes. Also, as the mud accumulated here and there, the work of removing it was taken up.
Even though the flood has receded, the victims are still in rehabilitation centers due to unsanitary conditions in the flooded areas. In most places, rehabilitation centers are running in schools. (Maxim News)
